Please be advised that the institute has adopted normal university procedures and guidelines for weather-related delays, closings and announcements. Announcements as to Virginia Tech closings and delays are disseminated through normal channels, such as the VT Alerts, TV and radio, etc. Students and employees are strongly encouraged to register for VT Alerts on the VT website at

VTLCI Employees: In the event of inclement weather, and in the absence of a university-wide announcement, all instructors, staff and faculty administrators are expected to report for regular work
hours. For further weather-related work
guidelines, please consult the following resources on the Virginia Tech Authorized
Closings/Inclement Weather website. For further details on reporting expectations in the event of a weather-related absence, employees should consult their immediate supervisors.
